This is the 23rd season of the Amelia Island Book Festival, which celebrates the love of reading and supports literacy in Nassau County, Florida.

I am participating for the first time this year. 

On Friday evening, February 23rd, Tony and I will attend the celebrity fundraising gala at the Ritz with several members of my writing group. The gala features the following well-known authors:

On February 24th, in addition to a number of author break-out sessions with some of the writers listed above, many local authors are presenting and selling their books at the Saturday expo, being held at the Fernandina Beach Middle School, 315 Citrona Drive, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 . 

I will be participating in an early morning (9 am!) writer’s workshop panel entitled “Inspiration to Motivation—Shifting a Notion into Motion.”  The program is being moderated by local author and artist Donna Overly, head of the Amelia Island Writers chapter of the Florida Writers Association. My fellow author panelists are: Julia McDermott, Kristine Ochu, and James Bruner.
