Creative Non-Doing
Doing follows Being.
What does this mean? How do we learn how to be, when we are so programmed to do, do, do?
One of the most effective practices I have been taught is called creative non-doing. Essentially, taking a few moments each day to just be. To be still, silent. Nowhere to go, nothing to do. A pause. A space. An allowance.
And with that practice comes relief—laying down our burdens for just a few moments.
With that practice comes spaciousness—a break from the relentless pressure of all there is to be accomplished.
With that practice comes recognition—an experience of who we are without all of the titles, roles and responsibilities.
I invite you to take one or two minutes at the beginning or end of your day for creative non-doing.
